Be the Helper
This week the angels have insisted that my message be brief and to the point. We all have homework and it’s important that we start right away.
Jimmy Carter is being honored this month for being a man who made this world better through his life of service. Before, during, and after his presidency, he made sure that he worked as a civil servant, making sure that people across the globe were treated with dignity and care, and he wasn’t afraid to put on his work boots and make it happen. Mr. Rogers had us look for the helpers. President Carter was a helper. We are all being asked to be helpers now. There are so many opportunities around us to do what we can to help one another: Can you bring some soup or saltines to a friend or neighbor who is sick? Maybe you can donate blood, or supplies, or money to fire or flood victims on our coasts? Can you shovel snow for a neighbor or visit someone in a nursing home? Perhaps you can donate to your local food shelf? Does your local school, hospital, or community have a volunteer position that interests you?
I got more messages, but the angels want me to stop here this week so this one doesn’t get diluted. They are asking us to BE THE HELPERS. There are many different ways to help - “something for everyone”! If you don’t care to be around people you don’t know, maybe it’s friends and neighbors you’re called to help. Perhaps your time is limited but you have money that can help support people in need. Trust the idea that pops in your head - your Guardian Angel communicates with you that way. Your Guardian Angel has a higher perspective and will help pave the way for you and those you help to get the most benefit.
If nothing seems to be popping into your head, you can try this prayer:
Thank you, Guardian Angel for showing me a clear and obvious sign of how I can be a helper in this world. I trust you will provide an opportunity that results in the highest good of all. I promise I will pay attention and I will act on your guidance. Amen.
