Be the Change You Want to See in the World
We’ve been living life as though everything is BREAKING NEWS, and to a large extent, it is. Unfortunately, that puts our bodies, minds, and spirits into high alert, or anxiety for what might happen, It puts us on-edge. It puts us into a place of FEAR.
FEAR is False Evidence Appearing Real. It’s also a low energetic vibration. On some charts it’s the lowest vibration with Unconditional Love being the highest vibration.
The message I have been receiving is that We need to stop acting from a place of fear. It’s okay to feel fear, but in order to put the earth back into balance, we need to act from a place of love.
How does one do such a thing?
Start with grounding. Get yourself outside and breathe some fresh air deep into your lungs. If you can’t get outside, go to the faucet and run your hands under cold water or take a salt bath. Do something that relaxes you and gets your mind into a different place. It could be singing a song (be mindful that the lyrics aren’t depressing), doodling, or creating a artistic masterpiece. You may have to do these things more often, but now is not the time to neglect this step.
Next, once your mind is out of fear-mode; consider. Consider the thing that’s making you fearful from a different perspective. If you are still in the mode of blaming someone or something else for making YOUR LIFE MISERABLE, keep doing your grounding activity. Get to the point where you are ready to objectively see your own power to change what you can: your attitude, your perspective, your feeling of helplessness.
Then, from that point - without anger, without fear, without hatred or vindictiveness - Do something positive. If you have been worried about the hurricane victims in North Carolina, or the fire victims in California, donate to a reputable cause to help repair their homes and lives, or get out there and physically help them. If you want to see BIPOC and LGBTQIA people’s rights upheld, donate to the ACLU or call your representatives and senators. If your work life or your home life is not living up to the dream you had for it, what are YOU doing to make it “dreamy”? What can you start doing to make it better? We cannot motivate others to change…EVER. We must start with ourselves.
Paul Wellstone put it best: “Be the change you want to see in the world.” He understood that it’s not enough to whine about our current situation, we need to take the steps to physically implement the world we want to see within our own lives, with our own families, neighborhoods, and communities.
Remember: You’ve got this! And, you have angels and guides all around you that are willing to help. Don’t ever hesitate to ask them. No request is too big, too small, or the least bit stupid!
