Flipping the Switch

First, let me start in gratitude to all the new subscribers! I appreciate you and am glad you’re not only willing, but excited to be reading this. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!

Each week I rely on the Angels to communicate to me a pertinent message for everyone reading. This week is a reminder that sometimes we get bombarded with bad news and various external circumstances that leave us feeling depleted internally. The good news is: WE HAVE THE POWER WITHIN US TO FLIP THAT SWITCH.

What does that mean?

We interrupt this blog while the writer pauses to listen to John Lennon sing Imagine.

Ok- real talk- sometimes channeling a blog looks more like a severe case of ADHD, but as I was writing, I got this overwhelming need to stop and listen to the above song. And, as it so happens, it’s pertinent to this message!

There is A LOT of stuff going on for each one of us right now! Add to the baloney we are navigating with jobs, family, traffic, health, politics, and grocery prices; if you live in the northern hemisphere, it’s getting dark really early too! It’s enough to make a person feel irritable, if not downright sad.

(This is where I insert the part about making sure your mental and physical health are in order, and encourage you to follow your doctor’s guidance.)

Having said that, the angels are encouraging us to “flip the switch” through the power of our imagination!

There is MUCH to be thankful for in our world right now. Earlier this year I wrote a piece called “AWE”. Find something that sparks awe in you. Is it the colors of a sunrise or sunset? Is it listening to a song and finding tears in your eyes as the words touch your heart? Maybe it’s the harmonies that give you goosebumps? Are you cuddled under a blanket, feeling the warmth and thinking it’s the best feeling in the world? I just realized everything I mentioned is free! That, in itself, is AWEsome!

Flipping the switch is being aware that there are some things available to us that are beautiful, and when we focus on them, we feel better. Flipping the switch also includes imagining. Visualization is key to changing our reality. If we are constantly focused on the worst case scenario, that’s exactly what we are going to attract! Conversely, if we IMAGINE, just as John Lennon did in his song, a world with no hate, no war, no greed, or hunger, we will make it our reality.

How?

When we imagine the coral reefs returning to their rainbow colors, and the glaciers increasing their ice depth… when we imagine loving our neighbors, friends and relatives living in peace and harmony…when we imagine our government officials working together to represent “we the people” instead of corporate interests and billionaires…then we are open to the angel whispers of how to make what we imagine REAL.

So, if you’re feeling in a funk, take some time to notice the things in your everyday life that bring you joy, awe, or even a simple calm. Then, IMAGINE the world you want to live in, down to the tiniest minutiae. Let’s co-create a world of peace and harmony.

“If you can imagine it, you can achieve it, if you can dream it, you can become it.” William Arthur Ward
