Celebrations
It seems as if a popular message from the angels for many of my readings, my own personal readings included, is to let-loose and have fun. We tend to take life so seriously and life isn’t meant to be all chores and drudgery.
I was listening to a podcast recently where the guest was asking why, if earthly existence is so full of pain, do we choose to incarnate here? The answer was that it’s similar to childbirth, we all know it’s about as much pain as one can experience, but there’s something about the rewarding parts and the impermanence of the pain that make it worth doing over and over again. We are meant to enjoy life - as much as we possibly can!
My oldest daughter just got married and, ohhhhh, what a beautiful celebration it was! Everyone knows that no wedding on earth gets to the end without some hiccups along the way. This one was no different, and I bet if I listed the number of things that happened in the week before that were unplanned and unwanted, I could get a whole bunch of you feeling really badly for us. And what would that help? You would lower your vibration and I would lower mine. Then, collectively, we would lower the vibration of everyone and everything around us. Orrrrrrrrr, I could tell the story of all that went right in the week before and the day of that has me looking back in deep gratitude and nostalgia.
We had beautiful, sunny weather in SEATTLE. The brides looked stunning, and the family and friends were all so happy and supportive of the couple. The flowers were elegant. The water on Puget Sound sparkled. The speeches were heartfelt and brought happy tears, and the curated music was top notch. In fact, it was so top-notch that I spent the.better part of 2 ½ hours dancing before I ever made it back to get my comfortable shoes! Even my 84 year old mother was dancing and twirling her cane! It was a sight to behold.
There was something so magical about shunning self-doubt and allowing myself to “dance like no one was watching”, surrounded by family and friends who were also caught up in the joy and celebration of life and love, hope and happiness, plans and dreams. We just had a majorly divisive political act (or 10,000) occur, and this event had nothing to do with who voted for whom, or who shops at what store, worships at what place, or dresses in what fashion. We were all people with a common purpose: to celebrate love with unbridled passion.
This is the message the angels have for us: It’s time to let go of all the seriousness and experience joy everyday. Make it part of your daily to do list. Play some upbeat music and have a party for one, dancing in your kitchen if you have to! Snuggle with your pet. Watch something or have a conversation with someone who makes you laugh out loud. Now is the time not to focus on the pain, frustration, and fear, but the LOVE that is all around us. LOVE is why we incarnated here and we can find it in the beauty, life, and people all around us. I’m not saying that adulting isn’t necessary: responsible decisions and planning make for successful parties where people CAN let their hair down and dance like no one is watching. But, hear this; It’s important to remember all the good that is on this planet right this very moment. It’s within you and within me. It took a wedding for me to remember and I’m here/the angels are here to remind you to find the bliss within yourself and get lost in it for a bit each day. You and everyone around you will be so much better off because it truly is contagious and it’s exactly the kind of contagion we need right now.
Love, peace, and joy to each one of you reading this right now. Thank you so so much! If you are so inspired, subscribe and share my blog with a friend. If you are interested in an angel card reading, a reiki session, or would like to sign up for one of my classes, please reach out to me!
