Angels Among Us

I’ve always been fascinated by angels and angel stories, but it was only recently that I began to get to know some of the archangels by name and how they are here to help us. Angels are a form of divine, loving energy here to assist us if we ask them.

Most of us know of Archangel Michael, if not from the Bible, then perhaps from the movie starring John Travolta. And, while I found the movie entertaining, and the soundtrack filled with catchy tunes, Travolta’s depiction of Michael was NOT what Michael’s energy is like (for one thing, angels don’t die because they are energy). Archangel Michael is strong and powerful. He is a fierce protector, and indeed, he is the Patron Saint of Military, Police, and Paramedics. His identifiable color is bright blue.  He has a light sword which he can easily cut through etheric cords. If you’re traveling by vehicle, Michael is the guy you want watching over you. Michael often works in tandem with Archangel Raphael.

Archangel Raphael is a healing angel. Whether you need healing physically, emotionally, or spiritually, Raphael is the Master Healer. Often, after Michael has cut cords, Raphael will come through with his healing energy to seal anything up so there’s not an open wound. Archangel Raphael is the guy you want helping you out with travel plans (especially by plane) for ease, safety, and comfort. He’s known for his green aura, so wearing green on travel days is a good way to call in his energy. Also, fun fact; he’s known to be an excellent matchmaker.

Archangel Gabriel, the messenger, is also pretty well known. Angels don’t actually have genders, but her energy is more feminine, so I’ll refer to Gabriel as “she”. Gabriel is a good one to call in when you have to write a paper, or make a speech. She helps with children (as in “care and keeping of”) so if you’re having a particularly hard day with your kids, ask Gabriel for help.

Archangel Metatron has perhaps the funkiest name of all but it seems fitting. Metatron is the Archangel of Sacred Geometry. What? A math angel?! But seriously, Metatron can help clear through stuff. He’s a good one to ask for help clearing your aura after cord cutting with Michael and healing with Raphael. He’s also a good one to call in with your children when they sense a boogey man in their room at night - they can ask Metatron to put a sacred prism of protection in their room. Conversely, you can ask Metatron to read the news with you to keep that negative energy at bay.

Archangel Sandalphon is another one with a strange name, but she brings us messages in one of the most fun ways - songs! When you hear a certain song on the radio, or just in your head, Sandalphon is using it as a fun way to get a message to you. Pay particular attention if she messes with the words. There is meaning in the words!

There are many other archangels with many different ways to help us. Archangel Azreal is the Angel of Death and Transitions. Archangel Haniel is Angel of the Divine Feminine. Archangel Raguel is particularly handy with those difficult conversations. And, Archangel Chamuel helps us find lost things.

Perhaps the most important angel for each of us is our Guardian Angel. Our Guardian Angels are with us from birth through many lifetimes. They know our needs and our soul’s purpose. They protect us with our every breath and only want what’s good for our soul.  If you are ever questioning, “which angel should I call on for help in this particular situation?”, the answer is always, “your Guardian Angel”. Your Guardian Angel has connections to all the angels and will always respond for your highest good.

If you would like to connect with the angels, start by taking some deep breaths, in through your nose and out through your mouth. Then ask, “Angels, thank you for revealing to me what I need to know today.” and listen.

If you are interested in learning which angels are there to help you, you can book an Angel-Oracle Reading or Angel Reiki with me, Margaret.
