What is Wrong with Me?

What is wrong with me? To be human means to ask this question at least once in a lifetime. For some of us, it means asking this several times a day. It’s an existential question of sorts –turning in on ourselves when we don’t seem to fit in for whatever reason. Society has taught us that we are less than perfect, unworthy of love and affection (especially if we don’t meet some standard), sinners that need to DO penance.

Angels want us to know that this is false.

NOTHING IS WRONG WITH YOU! You are deserving of love simply because you exist. Just because you live in a world where you are constantly being reminded of all the ways you don’t measure up to some arbitrary standard, doesn’t mean you are less than.

You deserve more love, not less.

You deserve MORE LOVE, NOT LESS.

Are you beating yourself up because you feel lonely or ugly or disgusting? THAT PART OF YOU – that part that you are loathing right now deserves MORE LOVE, NOT LESS! In fact, if I were to guess, that exact part of you that feels that way has been seeking more love since you were a very young age. Angels are giving you permission right now to take a deep breath and send that part of you some extra love this very moment. See the child within you feeling sadness and shame and give that little one the love and encouragement they seek. Imagine them surrounded in a pink bubble of unconditional love.

The tendency to go within and beat ourselves up never makes us any happier. It never makes us any kinder. In fact, it keeps us from seeing the goodness around us and stifles our ability to have gratitude for the wonders that surround us.

The antidote to this feeling is to go within and give ourselves the love we so desperately seek. We, each one of us, is created by and OF Divine Energy. Think about that. God-Energy. LOVE-Energy. It’s what we’re made of...so inherently, we are DIVINE. There is NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU! And there is nothing wrong with anybody else. Each of us is here to serve a purpose. When we can love the parts of ourselves that we have been taught are unlovable, then we can love our neighbors as ourselves.

When we can love the parts of ourselves that we have been taught are unlovable, we will quit caring what other people think about us. When we can love our neighbors as ourselves, the people who matter will be attracted to our light and those who are not attracted to our light won’t matter to us...for we won’t need their approval to be happy.

You are so loved! Never doubt that. The goal is to be able to love yourself like the Divine loves you. Bless you!
