Divine Connections

This has been a week of Divine Connections and I’m so very grateful for all of them! Angels made it clear this week what’s truly important and it’s quite simple: We need to connect with one another. That pandemic really did a number on us, sending us into isolation when we need other people! It has become so easy to withdraw and retreat instead of putting ourselves out there, but it’s in making ourselves vulnerable that the true rewards come.

Due to circumstances beyond my control, my family is spread out all over the U.S. - and when I say family, I mean immediate and extended! This means in order to keep our relationships close and current we need to keep in contact with regular texts, phone calls, and FaceTime chats. During this last week I’ve managed to do at least one of those with my husband, my children, my mom, all of my sisters, and a few cousins. I’ve had the chance to laugh and spill tea , see evidence of my 2 year old nephew singing Taylor Swift’s song Lover, seen sunsets and snow angels, and watched my 5 and 3 year old niece and nephew have a clothes folding party. Whether we are sharing familial current events, work woes, crises, or celebrations, we are there for it all. We even talk about boring -for -kid, but exciting for adult stuff like the new hemp oil furniture salve I got that I’m so excited about because it smells like heaven! Who cares? It’s the connection.

This week also brought re-connections: a Galentine’s dinner party in a snow storm, because once a month we need to reconnect between the busyness and chaos of our real lives and have something to look forward to; an old friend in a new circumstance and two cups of tea; two different shopping trips in quaint downtowns with two friends with whom searching for treasures seemed like the perfect way to spend the chilly day(s); a Zoom call with a good friend from high school because we could; and, of course, my regular clients who brighten my day every time they cross my threshold.

One of the things I’m most thrilled about is the new connections made over the last week! Thanks to Divine Timing that was masterfully orchestrated way beyond my capabilities, I decided to have Meet and Greet at a local coffee shop . Friends I have made through my reiki classes and within the metaphysical realm congregated, and some of them brought friends! It was a wonderful couple hours while we sat around a big wooden table and talked and networked and made new connections. There isn’t one person who hasn’t thanked me for inviting them, and I know I was so grateful to each person who brought their energy to the space to share.

We need connections. Our souls are hungry for that feeling of oneness after all the division that’s been going on for so long. Our Angels are encouraging us to step out of our comfort zones to help build bridges. There have been enough fences and walls and barriers for a lifetime.

Maybe you’re not ready for all the socializing I managed to fit into the last week? That’s okay. Perhaps it’s just about looking up, catching eyes with someone and smiling? Next: maybe text a friend to see how their day is going? Are you ready for a phone call, or a meet-up for coffee? Now is the time and every little effort makes a difference. If you’re feeling nervous, ask your angels for help. They will guide you to the exact right person at the exact right time and make it easier than you thought - painless, even! It’s all about those Divine Connections!
