Archangel Sandalphon
I’ve been getting messages from Sandalphon lately. Well…all the time, and also lately. Archangel Sandalphon is very connected to the earth and grounding energy. He and his brother, Metatron, are extremely tall angels, and the only two archangels that were once human before ascending to become archangels. You can remember this because they have an “on” ending to their names, vs. “el” which means “God” or “of God”.
One of my favorite things about Sandalphon is that he communicates to us through music. In fact, I have a playlist on my phone called “Sandalphon 2024” that I add any songs that pop into my head either through dreams, or randomly throughout the day. Sometimes the words that are going through my head are not the actual lyrics to the song, which is a key part of this form of communication: “what are the words saying?”, but not helpful if I recognize the tune, but don’t know the name of the song. This week I got a lot of “ay ay ay -ohs” and it took me a bit of sleuthing to figure out the song : Pompeii by Bastille.
Pompeii is a catchy tune and I always enjoyed hearing it on the radio, but I didn’t know it well enough to know the lyrics, so I had to look them up. Here is where the message came in! Pompeii is about the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79A.D. which blanketed Pompeii in ash and overnight it ceased to exist. Bastille sings about people being caught up in their vices, and the one guy who notices what’s going on is questioning, “How am I gonna be an optimist about this?”
We are in the midst of some major changes and disruption of systems right now. Some might liken them to a volcano blowing its top and leveling things to the ground to be built up again. How are we going to be optimists about this?
First of all, the world is not ending - just our world as we know it. Things are being gutted so that we can build what we really want. What do we really want? And, just as importantly, how do we get it?
I know what I want. I want peace, love, and compassion to reign. I want the collective to recognize that we all need each other, that none of us are more or less important than anyone else. I want us to collectively recognize the power of our thoughts, words, and deeds.
I also know how to get it, but I can’t do it alone. WE have to do it together. WE need to focus our THOUGHTS, focus our WORDS, and focus our DEEDS on the positive changes we want to see. There cannot be pessimism or FEAR because THAT is what we will attract toward us. In order to dispel the hate, fear, and negativity, we have to collectively focus on LOVE, PEACE, ONENESS, AND COMPASSION.
A few months ago I wrote about a dream I had where everyone was leaving their keys on dowels on a bridge and answering signs for help. I believe that that kind of benevolence is our future. Someone will need a fence painted and someone else will come with brushes, paint, and a helping hand.
When you “close your eyes” what can you visualize for the Utopia we are creating now? THAT is how we can be optimists about this - by seeing, and putting our energy toward what we do want. When that fear and doubt starts creeping in, replace it with the life you want to live. This is how we change the energy. This is how we change the trajectory. It’s worth it.
